Festival guests can enjoy delicious blueberry treats while cooling down in the new Ferrara’s Berry Sweet Shoppe located in Mast Hall at 317 E. Main St. during the 35th Annual Texas Blueberry Festival presented by Tipton Ford, June 14, in downtown Nacogdoches.
In addition to the Main St. outdoor Cool Zone hosted by Ferrara’s Heating and Air Conditioning with a covered seating area, large Port-A-Cool fan and cooling towels, all free of charge, the Ferrara’s group is excited to add the sweet shop to its festival event involvement.
“We designed our sweet shoppe as a place for guests to enjoy the indoor air conditioning while adding a little extra sweetness to their festivities. We are intentionally offering ‘cool’ items and a relaxed seating area to provide a break from the warm outdoor climate,” said Kelly Ferrara, owner, Ferrara’s Heating and Air Conditioning. “Along with delicious treats, we will have fun decorations including blue and white checkered tablecloths, 6’ ice cream balloon tower, festive lights and a display window surprise. Our servers will be recognizable in the Nacogdoches County Chamber blueberry festival shirts and matching white ruffled aprons.”

In lieu of charging for individual items, Ferrara’s will request donations for the local Walk to End Alzheimer’s.
“Alzheimer’s is a cause that we whole-heartedly support. It feels appropriate to incorporate this fundraiser with the blueberry festival. Ferrara’s team is excited for this event and the opportunity to interact with the Nacogdoches community,” Kelly said.
