The 25th Annual Texas Blueberry Festival presented by Brookshire Brothers is June 13 and 14 in downtown Nacogdoches. Festival planners have cooked up a new event - the Friday Night Blueberry Blast.
"We're launching the Friday Night Blueberry Blast at 6 p.m. on Friday, June 13 in Festival Park," festival Chair Grace Handler said. "It's free admission to enjoy a concert and affordable food from non-profit vendors and a kids' bounce park with $5 all-you-can-bounce tickets. It's a true family friendly event."
Handler said, "The entertainment begins with the Cowboy Max Show at 6 p.m., and he'll have plenty of blueberry-wranglin' stunts and jokes. Around 6:45 p.m., local talent Miki Lynn will keep your toes a-tappin' and rounding out the evening, beginning after 8 p.m., the Karen Biggers-Tutt Community Choir will have you on your feet, feeling the music!"
The Friday Night Blueberry Blast will get folks ready for the delicious Texas Blueberry Festival from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 14 in downtown and Festival Park.
